Numerical Investigation into the Effects of Controlled Tunnel Blast on Dynamic Responses of the Transmission Tower

At present, the drill-and-blast method is still one of main construction means in road tunnel excavation process. When penetrates underneath sensitive structures such as high-voltage transmission towers, blasting and supporting parameters must be strictly controlled to ensure stability safety surface structures. In this paper, numerical simulations based on a large-section shallow buried project Zhuhai are conducted study effect blast dynamic response towers. The simulation results indicate that vibration velocity rock generated by decreases rapidly along direction. tower its pile foundation gradually increases with propagation waves, maximum about 1.24 cm/s. design can effectively restrain induced load could tower.
